Inconel: Inconel 600 is a special corrosion resistant alloy consisting of nickel, (78%) chromium, (15%) iron, (7%) and other trace elements. It is high strength, and can accept extremes in temperature. It is heat-treated. It is a very expensive material, due the nickel content. Its primary use is in aircraft engines. It is the material used in the AN123301-450 and AN123601-750 series rivets.
Truss: Truss Head. Term used in semi-tubular rivets, referring to a protruding head with a low profile, that is more than twice the diameter of the body of the rivet. Also in solid steel rivets, a truss head is the equivalent of a brazier head.
Tubular: Full tubular rivet. Similar to the semi-tubular rivet, but with a deeper drilled hole. Commonly used by the loose-leaf binder industry.
