Hastelloy: Hastelloy-X. This is one of the “superalloys”, or high performance alloys. In the case of “superalloys” high performance refers to the ability of the alloy to survive under high temperature, high stress, highly corrosive or erosive environments. Hastelloy-X is a nickel alloy. Like all “superalloys”, it is extremely expensive, limiting its use to critical applications.
Universal: Universal Head. This is the standard protruding head style for most solid rivets. It has replaced the flat head, round head, and brazier head types in most military and aerospace applications. The head of the universal head rivet is twice the diameter of the body of the rivet. It resembles the round head, but with the top of the head flattened-out. MS20470 series, MS20613 series and MS20615 series. (and others)
Tubular: Full tubular rivet. Similar to the semi-tubular rivet, but with a deeper drilled hole. Commonly used by the loose-leaf binder industry.
